RED LION, Pa. (WHTM) – A York County woman is accused of stealing prescription drugs from the pharmacy where she worked and then selling the pills from her home.
Beth Ann Trout, 47, of Red Lion, admitted she stole Xanax from Lion Pharmacy for 18 months and sold it to two people who then sold the pills to others, the district attorney’s office said.
Trout was employed as a pharmacy technician and was responsible for ordering and overseeing the inventory of certain prescription pills.
She is charged with delivery of a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.
Investigators said 23-year-old Kody Jackson of Red Lion and 21-year-old Erin Walkins of York bought Xanax from Trout. Both face drug dealing charges.
